KUNINGAN – Peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-80 atau 17 Agustus merupakan momen penting dan memberikan kesan mendalam bagi seluruh warga negara Indonesia. Sejak dikumandangkan Proklamasi, rakyat Indonesia mulai keluar dari segala bentuk penindasan para penjajah.
Hanya saja, diusianya yang tidak muda ini, kemerdekaan Indonesia masih disebut belum utuh atau final, karena baru sebatas merdeka dari penjajahan fisik. Sementara pada saat yang sama penjajahan baru senantiasa muncul dalam bentuk yang berbeda, nonfisik. Jika pada masa perjuangan, penjajah yang dimaksud adalah kolonial Belanda dan Jepang, saat ini wajah penjajah muncul dalam bentuk kebodohan dan kemiskinan.
Hal itu diungkapkan oleh Kasatkorcab Banser Kuningan, Dr. Wahyu Hidayah, saat mengisi dialog refleksi kemerdekaan bersama Cikalpedia.id. Menurutnya, momen kemerdekaan tidak cukup dirayakan secara seremonial melainkan harus diiringi refleksi mendalam tentang nilai-nilai perjuangan yang relevan dengan konteks kekinian.
“Tantangan bangsa saat ini bukan lagi penjajahan fisik, melainkan kebodohan, kemiskinan, dan upaya-upaya yang memecah belah persatuan,” ungkapnya, Sabtu (16/8)
Karena itu, Wahyu menerangkan, untuk melawan penjajahan model baru tersebut, Banser Kuningan komitmen mendukung pembangunan sumber daya manusia melalui peningkatan pendidikan dan ekonomi pertanian. Dua hal itu menjadi program prioritas organisasinya supaya para anggota dan warga Kuningan bisa lebih baik.
“Kami lahir dari rahim NU, bahkan sejak negeri ini belum merdeka. Karena itu, kemerdekaan ini adalah amanah dari para ulama dan pendiri bangsa yang harus kami jaga dan diiisi dengan sumber daya manusia yang berdaya dan mandiri,” tuturnya.
