KUNINGAN – Di tengah pelantikan Pengurus KONI Periode 2025 – 2029 di Pendopo Kuningan, Anggota DPR RI H. Rokhmat Ardiyan yang juga Dewan Penyantun KONI Kuningan menebar optimisme akan masa depan olahraga Kabupaten Kuningan. Harapan besar dititipkan kepada Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Kuningan agar tidak hanya menjadi rumah pembinaan atlet, tetapi juga lokomotif pembangunan daerah.
“Saya yakin KONI ke depan akan semakin maju. Dipimpin orang-orang hebat, didukung lingkungan yang punya semangat juang tinggi. Saya percaya regulasi dan dukungan anggaran akan berpihak pada Kuningan,” ujar Ardiyan, Selasa (2/8/2025).
Ia menekankan pentingnya fasilitas pelatihan modern. Dengan sarana yang memenuhi standar, kata Ardiyan, akan lahir atlet-atlet dari jenjang sekolah dasar, menengah, hingga perguruan tinggi. “KONI bukan sekedar olahraga. KONI adalah pemersatu sekaligus motor penggerak pembangunan Kabupaten Kuningan,” katanya.
Potensi olahraga Kuningan selama ini dianggap luar biasa. Atlet-atlet berbakat kerap lahir, namun pola pembinaan masih menjadi pekerjaan rumah. Karena itu, ia menyoroti kesejahteraan pelatih, wasit, dan juri yang perlu mendapat perhatian lebih.
