BANDUNG – Kota Bandung kehilangan salah satu putra terbaiknya. Raden Darmawan Dajat Hardjakusumah, atau yang lebih akrab dikenal dengan panggilan Acil Bimbo, meninggal dunia pada usia 82 tahun di Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin (RSHS) Bandung, Senin (1/9/2025).
Kabar duka ini membawa kesedihan mendalam, bukan hanya bagi keluarga, tetapi juga bagi masyarakat Indonesia yang tumbuh bersama lagu-lagu penuh makna dari grup musik legendaris Bimbo.
Wali Kota Bandung Muhammad Farhan menyampaikan rasa belasungkawa.
“Turut berduka cita atas meninggalnya Acil Bimbo. Semoga almarhum husnul khotimah dan keluarga diberikan ketabahan,” ucapnya.
Acil lahir di Bandung pada 20 Agustus 1943. Bersama saudara-saudaranya Sam, Jaka, dan Iin Parlina, ia membentuk Bimbo, grup musik yang dikenal dengan karya-karya bernuansa religius dan reflektif. Lagu-lagu seperti Tuhan, Sajadah Panjang, dan Rindu Rasul bukan hanya hiburan, tetapi juga doa dan renungan yang menemani perjalanan hidup banyak orang.
Namun, Acil bukan hanya seorang musisi. Ia adalah sosok akademisi dan aktivis sosial. Lulusan Fakultas Hukum Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) tahun 1974 ini melanjutkan studi kenotariatan pada 1994. Pada tahun 2000, ia mendirikan LSM Bandung Spirit dan aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan kemasyarakatan.
