Tak hanya itu, Acep juga menyampaikan harapannya agar hubungan silaturahmi tak putus meski dirinya sudah kembali menjadi warga biasa.
“Jika kelak saya kembali sebagai pribadi Acep Purnama, jangan sungkan untuk menyapa. Rumah saya akan selalu terbuka, silakan datang kapan saja untuk bersilaturahmi, atau sekadar ngopi,” ucapnya.
Sebagai informasi, Senin, 4 Desember 2023, Acep Purnama dan Wakil Bupati H. M. Ridho Suganda dijadwalkan menuju Gedung Sate, Bandung, untuk mengakhiri masa jabatan mereka sebagai Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Kuningan periode 2018–2023. Pada saat bersamaan, Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat akan melantik Penjabat (Pj) Bupati Kuningan yang akan melanjutkan roda pemerintahan hingga Pilkada 2024.
Apel terakhir ini menjadi catatan sejarah kepemimpinan Acep Purnama: membumi, humanis, dan penuh dedikasi.
