KUNINGAN – Lembaga Koordinasi Kesejahteraan Sosial (LKKS) Kabupaten Kuningan akan menggelar program sosial untuk masyarakat. Upaya itu dilakukan dalam rangka memperingati Hari Jadi ke-527 Kabupaten Kuningan.
Program itu digelar atas kerjasama LKKS dengan Pemda, 12 rumah sakit negeri dan swasta se-Kuningan, serta organisasi profesi IDI, IBI, PPNI, PDGI, dan IAI. Program yang terdiri dari pengobatan gratis dan sunatan massal itu dilaksanakan tanggal 28 Agustus 2005 di parkiran Pendopo Bupati Kuningan
Ketua LKKS Kabupaten Kuningan, Hj. Ela Hayati, mengungkapkan, kegiatan itu merupakan bentuk kepedulian nyata kepada masyarakat, khususnya mereka yang masih kesulitan mengakses layanan kesehatan.
“Bagi saya, kesehatan adalah hak semua orang. Tidak boleh ada yang tertinggal hanya karena terkendala biaya. Melalui kegiatan ini, kami ingin membuka akses yang lebih luas, agar masyarakat bisa merasakan pelayanan kesehatan yang layak,” ujarnya.
