Turnamen itu dilaksanakan Gempita dalam rangka menyambut Kemerdekaan HUT RI yang ke-80. Pembukaan acara dihadiri langsung Bupati Kuningan Dr. Dian Rachmat Yanuar, Kepala Dinas Kepemudaan, Olahraga, dan Pariwisata (Disporapar), Asep Budi Setiawan, Presiden Proton FC, Thony Indra Gunawan, dan tamu undangan lainnya.
Ketua Pelaksana Kegiatan, Ari Akbar menyampaikan terima kasih kepada stakeholder yang memberikan kontribusi dalam menyukseskan turnamen tersebut. Ia berharap turnamen yang melibatkan tim dari berbagi utusan itu berlajan lancer dan mencetak atlet-atet propesional.
