KUNINGAN — Lena Herlina resmi mendaftarkan diri sebagai calon Ketua Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Kabupaten Kuningan. Tak sendiri, Lena datang ke Sekretariat KONI, Selasa, (24/6/2025), dengan pengawalan langsung dari jajaran Fraksi PDIP DPRD Kuningan, partai tempat ia bernaung.
Langkah ini menjadi sorotan bukan hanya karena Lena adalah satu-satunya perempuan dalam bursa calon, tetapi juga karena PDIP secara terbuka menunjukkan dukungan politik dalam urusan olahraga, sesuatu yang jarang terjadi secara gamblang di kontestasi KONI.
“Sebagai perempuan, saya ingin membuktikan bahwa kami bisa memimpin organisasi besar seperti KONI. Dengan hati nurani dan tata kelola yang bersih, kita bisa membawa prestasi olahraga Kuningan ke level nasional,” ujar Lena usai menyerahkan berkas pencalonan.
Kehadiran Fraksi PDIP dalam prosesi pendaftaran menegaskan bahwa Lena tak hanya membawa nama pribadi, melainkan juga dukungan struktural dari partai politik dengan suara signifikan di parlemen daerah. Dalam pandangan Lena, koneksi dengan legislatif justru dapat menjadi kekuatan tambahan dalam mengamankan kebijakan anggaran yang pro terhadap olahraga.
“Saya didukung oleh rekan-rekan di legislatif yang punya semangat sama yaitu memajukan olahraga. Mereka punya hak anggaran, dan mereka siap bantu,” tegasnya.
