KUNINGAN – Pemerintah Kabupaten Kuningan hari ini secara resmi mengubah nama Jalan Lingkar Timur menjadi Jalan Eyang Kyai Hasan Maulani sebagai bentuk penghormatan terhadap perjuangan ulama dan pahlawan.
Jalan dengan panjang sekitar 14 kilometer ini, bisa menjadi kebangga masyarakat Kabupaten Kuningan dengan pemberian nama jalan, serta diharapkan dapat menginspirasi masyarakat untuk melanjutkan semangat perjuangan Kyai Hasan Maulani dalam menghadapi tantangan masa kini, seperti kemiskinan dan keterbatasan.
“Spirit perjuangan beliau relevan dengan kondisi Kuningan saat ini. Jika dulu beliau berjuang melawan penjajah, hari ini kita bersama-sama melawan kemiskinan,” jelas Bupati Kuningan Dian Rachmat Yanuar usai meresmikan nama jalan untuk jalan sepanjang
Selain itu, pemerintah juga mendorong agar Kyai Hasan Maulani segera diakui sebagai Pahlawan Nasional. Hal ini mengingat perjuangannya yang luar biasa, termasuk pengasingan oleh Belanda hingga wafatnya.
