KUNINGAN – Kepolisian Resor Kuningan berhasil mengungkap kasus penggelapan dan penipuan mobil dengan modus penyewaan yang merugikan ratusan juta rupiah. Seorang pria berinisial AS (38), warga Dusun Mangunjaya, Desa Singkup, Kecamatan Pasawahan, kini harus mendekam di balik jeruji besi Mapolres Kuningan setelah terbukti menggadaikan mobil rental yang disewanya.
Kasus ini bermula dari laporan Dede Supriadi (51), warga Dusun Pon, Desa Setianegara, Kecamatan Cilimus, yang merasa dirugikan. Dede menyewakan satu unit mobil Daihatsu Luxio berwarna putih bernomor polisi E 1780 RB kepada AS pada Senin, 20 Oktober 2025, sekitar pukul 18.30 WIB. Transaksi sewa-menyewa tersebut dilakukan di sebuah rumah di Dusun Sawahrangru, Desa Linggamekar, Kecamatan Cilimus.
Dalam perjanjian sewa yang dibuat, kendaraan tersebut seharusnya dikembalikan setelah masa sewa berakhir. Namun, setelah batas waktu terlewati, korban mulai menaruh curiga lantaran AS tidak kunjung mengembalikan mobil tersebut. Saat dihubungi, AS justru mengakui perbuatannya bahwa ia telah menggadaikan mobil tanpa izin dan sepengetahuan pemiliknya.
Dede Supriadi kemudian melaporkan peristiwa ini ke Polres Kuningan. Korban menyerahkan bukti lengkap, termasuk satu bendel surat perjanjian pembiayaan multiguna dan satu lembar bukti transfer ke PT BCA Finance. Total kerugian materi yang ditaksir korban mencapai 155 juta, termasuk nilai mobil dan hilangnya STNK kendaraan.
Kasat Reskrim Polres Kuningan, IPTU Abdul Azis, membenarkan penangkapan tersebut. “Benar, pelaku sudah kami amankan dan mengakui perbuatannya. Dari hasil pemeriksaan, uang hasil gadai sebesar Rp10 juta digunakan pelaku sepenuhnya untuk keperluan pribadi dan hiburan,” ujar Azis, Selasa (28/10/2025).
Azis menegaskan, AS kini ditahan dan dijerat dengan Pasal berlapis, yaitu Pasal 372 dan/atau 378 KUHP tentang penggelapan dalam jabatan dan penipuan. Ancaman hukuman maksimal yang membayangi pelaku adalah empat tahun penjara.
