KUNINGAN – Calon Wakil Bupati Kuningan, Kamdan, menegaskan komitmennya bersama Muhammad Ridho Suganda untuk memperkuat sektor pertanian dan menghidupkan kembali warung-warung tradisional. Hal itu disampaikan dalam pernyataan resminya menjelang Pilkada Kuningan yang akan berlangsung pada 27 November 2024.
Menurut Kamdan, infrastruktur pertanian yang memadai menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan produktivitas petani. Ia menyoroti pentingnya perbaikan irigasi, jalan usaha tani, hingga jaminan harga pasar.
“Petani tidak boleh pusing soal pemasaran. Negara harus hadir untuk memastikan mereka untung,” kata Kamdan.
Selain itu, ia menyinggung rendahnya Nilai Tukar Petani (NTP) yang selama ini menghantui petani di Kuningan. Menurutnya, jika tidak segera dibenahi, sektor pertanian akan terus tertinggal.
Tak hanya pertanian, Kamdan juga menekankan pentingnya ekonomi kerakyatan melalui revitalisasi warung-warung tradisional. Ia mengajak masyarakat untuk kembali belanja di warung tetangga, terutama dalam momentum Hari Pahlawan.
“Bela negeri bisa dimulai dari membeli di warung tetangga,” ujar Kamdan.
