KUNINGAN – Pemerintah Kabupaten Kuningan memutuskan menunda pelaksanaan Karnaval Budaya dalam rangka Hari Jadi ke-527 Kuningan yang semula dijadwalkan pada 7 September 2025. Penundaan dilakukan hingga situasi keamanan daerah maupun nasional dinilai kembali stabil.
Keputusan ini diambil Bupati Kuningan setelah mendengarkan masukan dari Intel Polres Kuningan, Perwakilan BIN Kuningan, Kesbangpol, dan Dinas Perhubungan. Pertimbangan utama, kata Bupati, adalah menjaga kondusivitas serta memastikan perayaan Hari Jadi berlangsung aman dan tertib.
“Pemerintah daerah tidak ingin mengambil risiko terhadap keamanan masyarakat. Kita harus mengantisipasi kemungkinan adanya provokator atau oknum tidak bertanggung jawab yang bisa memicu kericuhan,” ujar Bupati Kuningan, Dian Rachmat Yanuar, Selasa (2/9/2025).
Karnaval Budaya disebut rawan karena melibatkan ribuan orang, baik peserta maupun penonton, sehingga berpotensi sulit dikendalikan bila terjadi insiden.
