KUNINGAN – Tim bulu tangkis beregu putra Kabupaten Kuningan mencatat kemenangan meyakinkan pada laga perdana babak penyisihan Pekan Olahraga Pemerintah Daerah (Porpemda) XV Jawa Barat. Bertanding di Anrimusti Badminton Center, Minggu (26/11) sore, pasangan ganda putra Firman-Riki sukses membuka keunggulan dengan menundukkan pasangan Kota Cimahi lewat dua gim langsung, 21-9 dan 21-8.
“Alhamdulillah bisa bermain dengan baik dan menyelesaikan pertandingan tanpa kendala berarti,” kata Firman usai laga.
Dari pantauan pertandingan, Firman dan Riki tampil dominan sejak awal gim pertama. Variasi pukulan dan rotasi strategi yang solid membuat pasangan Kota Cimahi tak mampu mengembangkan permainan. Firman-Riki bahkan hanya memberi sembilan dan delapan poin kepada lawannya di masing-masing gim.
Menjadi pasangan pembuka laga, Firman mengaku sempat tegang karena belum mengetahui karakter permainan lawan. “Ini pertandingan pertama untuk tim Kuningan, jadi memang ada rasa tegang, meskipun saya sudah cukup sering tampil di event seperti ini,” ujarnya.
