CIREBON – Pemerintah Kabupaten Kuningan dan Pemerintah Kota Cirebon resmi menandatangani Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS) terkait pengelolaan Sumber Mata Air Desa Paniis, Kecamatan Pasawahan, Kabupaten Kuningan, Jumat (22/8/2025). Kesepakatan ini menegaskan komitmen kedua daerah dalam menjaga kelestarian sumber daya air, mengatur dana kompensasi, serta menekan kebocoran distribusi demi pelayanan yang lebih efisien kepada masyarakat.
Penandatanganan berlangsung di Kantor Wali Kota Cirebon, dihadiri Bupati Kuningan Dr. H. Dian Rachmat Yanuar, M.Si, dan Wali Kota Cirebon Effendi Edo, S.AP., M.Si, bersama jajaran pemerintah daerah masing-masing. Unsur Forkopimda, jajaran PDAM Tirta Kamuning, serta sejumlah kepala perangkat daerah turut menyaksikan prosesi.
Dalam sambutannya, Bupati Dian mengingatkan bahwa kerja sama pengelolaan Mata Air Paniis bukan hal baru. Sejak 2009, kedua daerah telah membangun kesepahaman dengan sejumlah evaluasi dan penyesuaian.
“Langkah ini sangat berarti bagi peningkatan pendapatan daerah sekaligus memperkuat kepedulian bersama dalam menjaga keberlanjutan sumber mata air. Penurunan ambang kebocoran pun merupakan upaya meningkatkan kualitas distribusi air bersih, sehingga pelayanan kepada masyarakat menjadi lebih baik,” kata Dian.
