KUNINGAN – Batik, warisan budaya Indonesia yang telah diakui UNESCO, terus digaungkan sebagai identitas bangsa yang harus dilestarikan.
Menyikapi hal itu, Mahasiswa Semester IV Program Studi PGSD Universitas Islam Al-Ihya (UNISA) Kuningan tak hanya belajar teori, tapi juga terjun langsung mempraktikkan seni membatik di Nisya Batik, Cilaja, Kramatmulya, Kuningan, Selasa (13/5/2025).
Ditemani dosen pengampu Arief Muhammad Firmansyah, M.Pd, para calon guru ini antusias mengikuti workshop membatik sebagai bagian dari mata kuliah Pendidikan Prakarya.
Arief menegaskan, memahami batik tak bisa hanya lewat buku. “Mengenal batik tidak cukup secara teoritis. Mahasiswa harus merasakan langsung bagaimana melelehkan malam di atas kain, menorehkan canting, hingga merendamnya dalam warna alam,” ujarnya penuh semangat.
