Cikalpedia.id – Di sebuah kampung tenang bernama Kedung Menjangan, Kelurahan Kalijaga, Kecamatan Harjamukti, Kota Cirebon, berdiri sebuah masjid dengan arsitektur yang langsung mencuri perhatian: Masjid Merah Kedung Menjangan, atau yang juga dikenal dengan sebutan Masjid Merah Nurbuat.
Masjid ini berbeda dari masjid pada umumnya. Warna merah pada bangunannya, detail arsitektur yang memadukan gaya Demak, Kudus, dan China, serta suasana yang sarat tradisi, menjadikannya destinasi religi yang unik.
Menurut cerita, awalnya bangunan ini hanyalah sebuah musala kecil. Namun sekitar tahun 2000-an, jamaah setempat bergotong royong membangunnya menjadi masjid. Yang istimewa, proses pembangunan dilakukan selama 1000 malam, dikerjakan pada malam hari oleh jamaah sendiri.
Kisah ini makin menarik dengan adanya kaitan spiritual. Salah satu pendiri masjid disebut pernah mendapat petunjuk dalam mimpi dari seorang ulama besar asal Aceh, Syekh Abdurahman Rauf As-Singqili, untuk mendirikan masjid tersebut.
Masjid Merah Kedung Menjangan tidak hanya indah, tetapi juga sarat makna.
Pagar masjid dirancang menyerupai bangunan Keraton Demak, dihiasi keramik yang menambah keanggunannya.
Ruang utama didominasi warna putih, dengan 17 tiang penyangga yang melambangkan jumlah rakaat dalam salat lima waktu.
