Indramayu – Upaya melestarikan seni dan budaya daerah terus digencarkan Pemerintah Kabupaten Indramayu melalui Dinas Pariwisata, Pemuda, dan Olahraga (Dispara). Salah satunya lewat kegiatan “Mejeng Kesenian” yang digelar Paguyuban Nok Nang Dermayu di Mall Indramayu, Minggu sore (21/9/2025).
Berbagai kesenian khas Indramayu tampil memukau, mulai dari Tari Topeng, Tari Sintren, Kuda Lumping, Berokan, hingga musik Tarling. Penampilan seni modern berupa dance performance juga ikut meramaikan acara, sehingga menghadirkan nuansa segar yang bisa dinikmati berbagai kalangan.
Kehadiran beragam seni pertunjukan tersebut menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi masyarakat sekaligus sarana memperkenalkan kekayaan budaya Indramayu di ruang publik.
Sekretaris Dispara Kabupaten Indramayu, Joko Budi Santoso, mewakili Kepala Dispara Ahmad Syadali, menegaskan peran penting Paguyuban Nok Nang Dermayu sebagai representasi generasi muda Indramayu.
“Nok Nang harus menjadi percontohan sekaligus etalase pemuda Indramayu. Mereka perlu memahami dan mengembangkan wawasan seni serta budaya lokal. Karena itu, pemerintah daerah mendukung penuh kegiatan Mejeng Kesenian sebagai wadah memperkenalkan seni budaya Indramayu di ruang publik,” ungkapnya.
