KUNINGAN – Polres Kuningan berhasil menangkap pelaku pencurian motor (Curanmor) inisial, S (29), yang berdomisili di Kota Bekasi. Pelaku ditangkap setelah melakukan aksi pencurian pada Senin, (27/10) sore di Sindangagung.
Kendaraan sepeda motor bermerk Honda Genio (E-6889-YBA) yang dicuri itu milik salah satu warga Desa Kertawangunan Kecamatan Sindangagung. Ia melakukan aksi pencurian pada saat motor tersebut terparkir dengan kunci motor yang masih tergantung.
”Pelaku mengamati kondisi motor korban dengan kunci yang masih tergantung, kemudian pelaku langsung mengeksekusi,” ujar Kapolres Kuningan, AKBP Muhammad Ali Akbar pada konferensi pers, Rabu, (29/10).
Lebih lanjut, ia mengungkapkan bahwa pelaku mengaku hanya sekali melakukan tindakan curanmor. Namun pihak kepolisian masih terus berupaya mencari TKP lainnya yang diduga menjadi korban curanmor yang dilakukan oleh pelaku S.
”Hasil dari penyelidikan, kami mencurigai ada beberapa TKP lain dari hasil pemeriksaan saksi-saksi dan pemeriksaan handphone milik tersangka, kami masih menemukan indikasi di TKP lainnya,” ungkapnya.
Pelaku terancam hukuman penjara selama 7 tahun sesuai dengan pasal 362 KUHP karena mengambil barang milik orang lain dengan maksud untuk memilikinya secara melawan hukum.
Ali juga menyampaikan bahwa pihaknya sedang dalam pendalaman informasi mengenai dugaan marak curanmor di Kabupaten Kuningan. IKarena itu juga pihaknya menghimbau kepada masyarakat agar senantiasa menjaga kendaraan sepeda motor, terutama pada saat terparkir.
”Mari kita sama-sama menghilangkan niat dan kesempatan pelaku curanmor, salah satu di antaranya adalah meningkatkan keamanan kendaraan bermotor, seperti kunci ganda, maupun melengkapi rumah dengan cctv dan lain-lainnya,” pungkasnya. (Icu)
