Terletak di Desa Linggarjati, Kecamatan Cilimus, museum ini berdiri megah di kaki Gunung Ciremai, memadukan kesejukan alam pegunungan dengan kisah penting perjalanan diplomasi bangsa.
Jejak Diplomasi di Ruang Bersejarah
Museum ini dulunya adalah tempat berlangsungnya Perundingan Linggarjati pada 11–13 November 1946, yang mempertemukan Republik Indonesia dan Kerajaan Belanda pasca perang kemerdekaan. Dalam perundingan itu, Indonesia diwakili oleh Perdana Menteri Sutan Syahrir, sementara pihak Belanda diwakili oleh Dr. Van Mook. Lord Killearn dari Inggris hadir sebagai penengah.
Di ruang utama museum, Anda masih bisa melihat meja perundingan asli lengkap dengan kursi-kursinya, seolah waktu berhenti di sana. Foto-foto hitam putih yang terpajang di dinding menjadi saksi diam bagaimana para pemimpin bangsa berjuang mempertahankan kedaulatan melalui jalur diplomasi.
Arsitektur Klasik dan Nuansa Tempo Dulu
Bangunan museum bergaya kolonial ini masih terawat dengan baik. Dari luar, tampak putih bersih dengan jendela besar khas rumah Belanda. Begitu melangkah masuk, Anda akan merasakan suasana tempo dulu yang begitu kental, mulai dari lantai ubin kuno, lampu gantung klasik, hingga perabot kayu asli yang digunakan para delegasi perundingan.
