Dalam video tersebut, tampak sekelompok remaja konvoi tengah malam sambil mengacungkan senjata tajam atau parang di jalan Sajong, penghubung Kecamatan Garawangi, Maleber, dan Lebakwangi.
Peristiwa itu terungkap pada Jum’at (24/10/2025) setelah tim Satreskrim Polres Kuningan melakukan penyelidikan terhadap beredarnya video berdurasi singkat yang ramai di platform TikTok.
“Kami sudah mengamankan tujuh remaja berikut barang bukti lima bilah senjata tajam dengan panjang sekitar dua meter,” ujar Kapolres Kuningan AKBP Muhammad Ali Akbar melalui Kasat Reskrim Iptu Abdul Aziz.
Dari hasil pemeriksaan, diketahui bahwa seluruh remaja tersebut masih berstatus pelajar dan berdomisili di salah satu kecamatan di wilayah timur Kabupaten Kuningan. Kepada polisi, para remaja itu mengaku mendapatkan senjata tajam tersebut melalui transaksi COD di Cirebon.
Lebih lanjut, Iptu Abdul Aziz, menjelaskan bahwa karena seluruh pelaku masih di bawah umur, pihak kepolisian tidak melakukan penahanan. Mereka kemudian diserahkan kembali kepada keluarga masing-masing dengan disaksikan oleh pihak pemerintah desa, pihak sekolah, dan UPTD Perlindungan Perempuan dan Anak (PPA).
“Ketujuh remaja ini akan mendapat pembinaan dari pihak PPA. Kami berharap orang tua dan lingkungan turut mengawasi agar kejadian serupa tidak terulang,” tegas Aziz.
Menariknya, dari hasil penyelidikan juga diketahui bahwa video tersebut bukan rekaman baru. Aksi itu ternyata dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2025, namun baru diunggah ke media sosial TikTok pada malam sebelum viral.
“Motifnya hanya untuk kebutuhan konten,” ungkap Aziz.
Polres Kuningan mengimbau masyarakat, khususnya kalangan pelajar, agar lebih bijak dalam menggunakan media sosial dan tidak membuat konten yang berpotensi melanggar hukum atau meresahkan warga.
Kejadian tersebut menjadi perhatian serius aparat kepolisian mengingat fenomena pembuatan konten berisiko di kalangan remaja kian marak. Polres Kuningan menegaskan akan terus melakukan patroli siber serta langkah preventif di lingkungan sekolah untuk menekan potensi kenakalan remaja dan penyalahgunaan media sosial.
Selain itu, kerja sama antara pihak kepolisian, sekolah, orang tua, dan lembaga perlindungan anak diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang aman serta membangun kesadaran generasi muda agar menggunakan media digital secara positif dan bertanggung jawab. (Icu)
