KUNINGAN – Tim bola voli putri Kabupaten Kuningan berhasil mencetak sejarah baru dengan lolos ke Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) Jawa Barat 2026. Kepastian ini diperoleh setelah tim asuhan PBVSI Kuningan menyelesaikan seluruh pertandingan babak kualifikasi di Bekasi dengan hasil yang cukup untuk melangkah ke ajang multievent tingkat provinsi tersebut.
Bersaing di Zona 3 yang terdiri dari tujuh kabupaten/kota, dari Kuningan, Bogor, Purwakarta, Tasikmalaya, Cianjur, Sumedang, dan tuan rumah Bekasi. tim putri Kuningan mencatat tiga kemenangan dan tiga kekalahan. Tiga kemenangan diraih secara meyakinkan atas Tasikmalaya, Cianjur, dan Purwakarta, masing-masing dengan skor telak 3-0. Sedangkan tiga kekalahan diderita saat melawan Bekasi (2-3), Bogor (2-3), dan Sumedang (0-3).
Meski hasilnya imbang, akumulasi poin yang didapat cukup untuk memastikan satu tiket menuju Porprov 2026, sekaligus menorehkan sejarah sebagai kali pertama tim voli putri Kuningan berhasil lolos dari babak kualifikasi.
Ketua Umum PBVSI Kuningan yang juga Ketua DPRD Kabupaten Kuningan, Nuzul Rachdy, menyambut gembira pencapaian ini. Ia mengungkapkan rasa syukurnya atas hasil yang diraih tim putri setelah berjuang selama satu pekan penuh di Bekasi.
“Ini sejarah baru bagi bola voli Kuningan. Selama ini kita selalu terhenti di babak kualifikasi. Alhamdulillah, tim putri mampu membalikkan catatan itu dan membawa harum nama daerah,” ujar Zul, Selasa (29/7/2025) malam.
