Sebagai langkah konkret memperkenalkan Cibuntu ke khalayak luas, Iip menyebutkan rencana pemerintah daerah untuk menggelar sebuah “Festival Durian”. Desa Cibuntu dikenal sebagai salah satu sentra durian unggulan di Kabupaten Kuningan, yang dinilai punya potensi besar untuk menarik wisatawan pecinta buah tropis tersebut.
“Insya Allah, kita akan menggelar Festival Durian Cibuntu. Mudah-mudahan ini akan menjadi daya tarik baru dan diminati banyak orang,” tutur Iip.
Dengan konsep eco-cultural tourism, Desa Cibuntu selama ini dikenal sebagai salah satu destinasi desa wisata terbaik di Kuningan. Kegiatan festival dan pelestarian lingkungan diyakini akan meningkatkan daya saing pariwisata Kuningan di tingkat regional maupun nasional. (ali)
