Jakarta — Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani menyampaikan keprihatinan mendalam dan mengecam keras praktik pengoplosan beras premium yang tengah menjadi perhatian publik. Menurutnya, tindakan curang tersebut merupakan bentuk pengkhianatan terhadap rakyat, terutama di tengah situasi ekonomi yang penuh tekanan akibat inflasi dan tingginya harga kebutuhan pokok.
“Praktik curang seperti ini adalah bentuk pengkhianatan terhadap rakyat. Saat daya beli masyarakat sedang menurun, mereka justru dihadapkan pada manipulasi mutu pangan yang sangat merugikan,” tegas Puan, Rabu (23/7/2025).
Puan menilai skandal ini bukan hanya menimbulkan kerugian finansial besar bagi negara, tetapi juga menghancurkan kepercayaan publik terhadap sistem distribusi pangan nasional. Ia menyoroti laporan yang menyebutkan bahwa kerugian negara akibat praktik tersebut mencapai Rp100 triliun per tahun.
Lebih jauh, Puan menyatakan bahwa pedagang kecil menjadi korban ganda dalam kasus ini. Mereka membeli dan menjual produk dengan niat baik, namun ikut terdampak akibat mutu produk yang tidak sesuai dengan label.
“Pedagang kecil tidak boleh menjadi tumbal dari praktik distribusi yang tidak transparan. Mereka butuh perlindungan, bukan kerugian reputasi akibat ulah segelintir pihak,” ujarnya.
Untuk itu, Puan menuntut langkah konkret dan terukur dari pemerintah, termasuk kementerian terkait dan lembaga penegak hukum. Ia meminta negara hadir secara aktif untuk melindungi konsumen dan pelaku usaha kecil.
