KUNINGAN – Warga Lengkong Kecamatan Garawangi digegerkan dengan penemuan mayat R (70). Mayat tergeletak di pinggir sungai tidak jauh dari jembatan Sungai Cisanggarung, tepatnya di perbatasan Desa Lengkong dan Tembong, Sabtu (13/9).
Korban yang sehari-hari berprofesi sebagai petani itu diketahui sering beraktivitas di sawah. Menurut Eka Kurniawan, salah satu warga, korban diduga meninggal karena terjatuh lantaran kondisi kesehatannya memang kurang baik.
“Kesehariannya memang gitu, kadang suka bolak-balik jalan kaki ke sungai itu. Karena mungkin sudah tua juga,” ujarnya.
Penemuan korban pertama kali diketahui oleh, Endik dan Epeng Apandi, yang tengah mencari ikan dengan jala di bawah jembatan. Saat akan menebar jala, keduanya melihat sesosok tubuh tertelungkup di aliran Sungai Cisanggarung.
Setelah dicek lebih dekat, ternyata korban sudah tidak bernyawa. Mereka kemudian memberitahukan hal itu kepada keluarga korban dan melaporkan ke pihak kepolisian.
