PATI – Langit Pati memanas pada Rabu, 13 Agustus 2025. Sejak pagi, puluhan ribu orang berbondong-bondong menuju Alun-Alun dan Pendopo Kabupaten. Spanduk, poster, dan toa memenuhi udara, membawa satu pesan utama yaitu Bupati Sudewo harus mundur.
Akar kemarahan warga berawal dari rencana kenaikan Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan Perdesaan dan Perkotaan (PBB-P2) hingga 250 persen. “Bukan cuma soal pajak,” ujar seorang peserta aksi. Mereka juga menuntut pembatalan kebijakan lima hari sekolah, penghentian renovasi Alun-Alun, pembatalan demolisi masjid bersejarah, penarikan proyek videotron, hingga pemulihan pegawai RSUD yang di-PHK.
Data Wikipedia menyebut, jumlah massa mencapai 85 ribu hingga 100 ribu orang terbesar dalam sejarah Kabupaten Pati. Pagi itu, aksi berjalan tertib. Warga duduk beralas tikar, orator bergantian bicara, aparat berjaga di pinggir lapangan.
Namun, suasana berubah ketika massa mendesak Bupati Sudewo keluar menemui mereka. Ketegangan memuncak ketika botol air mineral, sandal, dan batu melayang. Sebuah kendaraan polisi dibakar. Aparat merespons dengan gas air mata dan water cannon.
Kerusakan pun terjadi di sejumlah titik, mulai dari kaca kantor pecah, pot bunga terbalik, coretan protes menghiasi dinding. Sekitar pukul 15.35 WIB, ketegangan mereda, meski ratusan orang masih bertahan di depan pagar pendopo.
Jumlah korban bervariasi menurut sumber. CNN Indonesia mencatat 64 orang luka-luka, sedangkan Detikcom menyebut 34 korban, termasuk tujuh anggota Polri. Isu dua korban tewas sempat beredar lewat pernyataan DPRD, namun polisi membantah adanya korban jiwa. Sebanyak 11 orang ditangkap sebagai terduga provokator.
