KUNINGAN – Dua puluh tujuh pemain sepakbola putri U-18 Kabupaten Kuningan tampak berbaris rapi menjalani pemeriksaan di UPTD BKPSDM Kuningan, Jumat pagi, (6/9/2025) malam. Satu per satu mereka menjalani tes kesehatan fisik, mulai dari pemeriksaan tensi darah, kondisi jantung, hingga tes kebugaran. Semua dilakukan untuk memastikan mereka dalam kondisi prima menjelang Babak Kualifikasi Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) Jawa Barat 2025.
Selama dua hari satu malam, skuad muda ini dikarantina. “Saya berkewajiban mengontrol anak-anak, terutama soal kesehatan. Karena itu saya titipkan mereka juga kepada coach untuk menjaga fisik dan mental,” kata Sri Laelasari, manajer tim yang juga penanggung jawab BK Porprov cabang sepakbola putri.
Sri yang juga anggota DPRD Kuningan itu mengakui beban berat tengah menanti tim asuhannya. Namun ia tetap berharap dukungan masyarakat Kuningan bisa menambah semangat anak asuhnya. “Doa dan dukungan warga sangat berarti. Kami ingin tim ini bisa mengharumkan nama daerah, tidak hanya di level provinsi, tapi juga nasional,” ujarnya.
Optimisme serupa disampaikan Head Coach Solihin. Menurut dia, setelah dua bulan latihan intensif, tim sudah cukup matang menghadapi pertandingan. “Di Grup B ada enam tim. Artinya, kita harus memenangkan lima laga. Targetnya jelas, jadi juara grup atau minimal runner-up,” katanya.
Grup B yang ditempati Kuningan memang kerap dijuluki “grup neraka”. Selain Kuningan, grup ini berisi tim-tim kuat seperti Bekasi, Pangandaran, Majalengka, Kabupaten Bandung, dan Kota Bandung. Bekasi, misalnya, dikenal sebagai gudang pemain timnas putri. Kota Bandung punya liga internal yang terstruktur dengan baik.
