Pemerintah desa pun tak tinggal diam. Kepala Desa Windujanten, Rohman Hidayat, menyebut bahwa 20 persen Dana Desa dialokasikan untuk ketahanan pangan dan dikelola langsung oleh BUMDes. Tiga komoditas digarap yaitu cabai, padi, dan jagung. “Saat ini sekitar satu hektare lahan kami garap bersama Polres dan Dinas,” ujarnya.
Direktur BUMDes Agro Dewi Perkasa, Jaja Jamaludin, menambahkan, mereka mendapat bantuan benih, pompa air, dan kultivator. Lahan tidur kembali produktif. “Kami berharap ini jadi tonggak PADes ke depan,” katanya.
Dalam acara tersebut, hadir pula Kabag SDM Polres Kuningan Kompol Herbudiman, Kapolsek Kadugede, serta unsur Muspika dan para penyuluh pertanian. Mereka bukan sekadar saksi, tetapi bagian dari orkestrasi gotong royong yang menyatukan institusi keamanan, birokrasi pertanian, hingga kelembagaan ekonomi desa.
Jagung mungkin bukan komoditas paling mahal, tapi di tangan para petani dan aparat yang bersinergi, ia menjadi simbol ketahanan dan kedaulatan pangan.Kuningan perlahan membuktikan bahwa menjaga negeri bukan hanya soal senjata dan patroli malam. Tapi juga tentang cangkul, benih, dan kolaborasi tanpa banyak bicara. Swasembada tak lagi angan, tapi cita-cita yang ditanam, dan kini sedang tumbuh. (Ali)
