KUNINGAN – SMP Negeri 1 Lebakwangi, Kabupaten Kuningan, mulai menerapkan kebijakan larangan penggunaan kendaraan bermotor bagi peserta didik. Kebijakan ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari Surat Edaran Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kuningan Nomor 400.3/1052/Umum tentang larangan pelajar membawa kendaraan bermotor ke sekolah.
Kegiatan sosialisasi dilakukan Rabu, 16 April 2025, dengan menghadirkan unsur Muspika Lebakwangi. Hadir dalam kegiatan itu Kepala Sekolah SMPN 1 Lebakwangi, Camat, Kapolsek, Danramil, Ketua Komite Sekolah, dewan guru, orang tua, serta para siswa.
Dalam forum tersebut, disepakati beberapa poin penting. Pertama, pelajar yang tinggal dalam radius tiga kilometer dari sekolah dilarang membawa kendaraan bermotor, baik roda dua maupun empat. Kedua, pengecualian diberikan bagi siswa yang tinggal lebih dari tiga kilometer, dengan syarat tidak tersedianya angkutan umum dan tidak ada fasilitas antar-jemput.
“Orang tua kami minta untuk secara bertahap mencari solusi pengantaran. Selain itu, kami akan berikan tanda pengenal khusus bagi siswa yang diizinkan membawa motor,” kata Kepala SMPN 1 Lebakwangi, Surya, saat dikonfirmasi seusai acara.
Menurut Surya, larangan ini langsung berdampak. Dari 148 siswa yang sebelumnya tercatat membawa motor ke sekolah, kini hanya tersisa 46 siswa.
