KUNINGAN – Anggota DPRD Provinsi Jawa Barat, Hj. Ika Siti Rahmatika, menegaskan pentingnya kehadiran regulasi yang melindungi perempuan dan anak-anak dari berbagai bentuk kekerasan. Hal itu disampaikannya Sosialiasi Perda di Desa Karangkamulyan Kecamatan Ciawigebang.
Kesempatan itu, Ika menyampaikan sosialisasi Peraturan Daerah (Perda) Nomor 2 Tahun 2023 tentang Perlindungan Perempuan
“Saya bersama perwakilan Setwan Provinsi Jawa Barat melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi Perda ini. Alhamdulillah, masyarakat sudah mulai memahami bahwa Jawa Barat telah memiliki payung hukum untuk Perlindungan Perempuan,” kata Ika.
Politikus perempuan ini menilai kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak masih seperti fenomena gunung es. Banyak kasus yang tidak muncul ke permukaan, meski dampaknya besar dan sistemik. Ia berharap Perda yang telah disahkan ini menjadi jawaban awal dari problem tersebut.
“Insyallah, kami dari DPRD akan terus keliling ke seluruh daerah pemilihan (Dapil) untuk memastikan bahwa Perda ini tidak hanya berhenti di atas kertas, tapi tersampaikan dan dirasakan masyarakat,” ujarnya.
