Janji ini terdengar manis di telinga masyarakat. Namun pertanyaannya, realistiskah target tersebut diwujudkan dalam keterbatasan APBD? Belum lagi, rekam jejak pembangunan jalan di Kuningan kerap memunculkan masalah, mulai dari kualitas aspal yang cepat rusak hingga proses tender yang rawan sorotan.
Menanggapi beban besar yang dititipkan padanya, Wahyu Hidayah tidak menampik rasa berat itu. “Saya bersyukur dan berterima kasih atas kepercayaan ini. Tugasnya berat, tapi insyallah saya akan lakukan semaksimal mungkin untuk menunjang kinerja Bupati dan Wakil Bupati,” ujarnya.
Wahyu menyebut, prioritas ke depan akan fokus pada keuangan, SDM, infrastruktur, dan sampah, sesuai arahan bupati. Ia juga menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi, terutama dengan media. “Pembangunan tidak bisa berjalan sendiri tanpa media. Baik buruknya pembangunan juga tergantung dari pemberitaan media. Maka mari bersama-sama membangun Kuningan agar melesat,” ucapnya.
Dalam struktur pemerintahan daerah, posisi Sekda ibarat dapur yang memastikan seluruh mesin birokrasi bekerja dengan baik. Ia menjadi penghubung antara kebijakan politik kepala daerah dan implementasi teknis di lapangan. Karena itu, posisi Pj Sekda kerap disebut sebagai “penjaga stabilitas” birokrasi, terutama di masa transisi atau menjelang Pilkada.
Kini, Wahyu berada di persimpangan jalan. Apakah ia mampu mengurai benang kusut persoalan klasik Kuningan, mulai dari utang daerah, kualitas SDM, krisis sampah, dan infrastruktur atau justru akan larut dalam siklus lama birokrasi yang penuh kompromi?
Yang pasti, empat PR besar sudah menanti di meja kerjanya. Dan publik Kuningan akan menjadi saksi, apakah Wahyu bisa mengukir catatan baru atau hanya menambah daftar panjang sekda yang berganti tanpa meninggalkan jejak berarti. (ali)
