KUNINGAN – Bupati Kuningan Dian Rachmat Yanuar menegaskan bahwa guru tak cukup hanya pandai mengajar, tapi juga harus mampu menjadi teladan dalam membentuk karakter siswa.
Pernyataan ini disampaikan saat memimpin apel pagi dan halal bihalal di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kuningan, Rabu (9/4/2025). Agenda ini menjadi bagian dari program 100 Hari Kerja Bupati-Wakil Bupati Kuningan.
“Jika gurunya tidak disiplin dan tidak memberi teladan, bagaimana bisa membentuk karakter siswa?” ujar Dian di hadapan ratusan pendidik, pengawas, dan pejabat struktural Disdikbud.
Dian mengutip filosofi Ki Hajar Dewantara dalam arahannya, bahwa pendidikan adalah proses menuntun kodrat anak agar tumbuh sesuai bakatnya, dengan adab dan etika.
Ia menekankan, guru sebaiknya tidak hanya fokus pada akademik, tetapi juga membangun karakter peserta didik lewat sikap sehari-hari, disiplin, dan keteladanan moral.
“Keteladanan itu bukan dari ceramah, tapi dari sikap dan cara guru membangun ruang belajar yang penuh nilai,” ucapnya.
