KUNINGAN — Kabupaten Kuningan menandai babak baru dalam gerakan ekonomi kerakyatan. Sebanyak 376 Koperasi Desa dan Kelurahan (Kopdeskel) Merah Putih resmi diluncurkan dalam puncak peringatan Hari Koperasi Nasional (Harkopnas) ke-78 tingkat Kabupaten Kuningan, Kamis (31/7/2025), di halaman Kantor Dinas Koperasi, UKM, Perdagangan dan Perindustrian (Diskopdagperin) Kuningan.
Program ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari arahan Presiden Republik Indonesia dalam agenda strategis nasional yaitu penguatan koperasi berbasis desa, yang dicanangkan pada 21 Juli lalu.
“Koperasi bukan warisan masa lalu yang usang. Ia adalah pilihan yang benar jika dijalankan sungguh-sungguh,” kata Bupati Kuningan, Dr. H. Dian Rachmat Yanuar, M.Si.
Bupati menekankan bahwa koperasi tidak lagi cukup hanya hadir sebagai lembaga simpan pinjam, tetapi harus bertransformasi menjadi agregator UMKM, penyedia layanan, dan akselerator ekonomi digital.
Kopdeskel Merah Putih telah dibentuk sejak April hingga Juni 2025 di seluruh desa dan kelurahan di Kabupaten Kuningan. Program ini akan diperluas hingga Oktober dengan menambahkan unit-unit usaha koperasi baru seperti apotek, klinik, gudang komunal, dan ritel berbasis digital.
“Koperasi harus tumbuh seperti di Korea Selatan. Modern, profesional, dan menopang ekonomi desa,” ujar Bupati, mengacu pada pengalamannya saat kunjungan kerja ke Korsel pada 2023.
Isu pembiayaan yang sempat jadi kekhawatiran juga ditepis. Menurut Bupati, program ini akan dijalankan secara hati-hati dan terukur, dengan dukungan sistem pembiayaan dari sektor perbankan dan mitra koperasi.
