Bagian 1: Gerbang Pelaminan
Pagi itu, matahari naik dengan malu-malu dari balik pepohonan. Udara masih lembut, seolah belum ingin panas. Gedung pernikahan mulai ramai oleh suara-suara. Di antara tawa dan riuh panitia, seorang lelaki berdiri agak jauh dari kerumunan.
Jas abu tuanya sudah rapi, sepatu mengkilap, rambut disisir ke belakang. Tapi matanya… tidak bisa berbohong. Ada keruh yang ia sembunyikan di balik senyumnya.
Dialah Dedi, ayah dari pengantin perempuan.
“Langit cerah hari ini, Bu,” gumamnya pelan. “Kayak kamu dulu suka bilang… kalau hari cerah itu tanda doa-doa dikabulkan.”
Ia tertawa kecil, getir. Di genggamannya ada selembar foto tua, istrinya, almarhumah Anita, memeluk anak mereka yang masih balita.
Waktu itu mereka belum punya apa-apa. Hanya sebuah kontrakan sempit dan segunung harapan.
Kenangan 20 tahun lalu:
Anita: “Kalau dia besar nanti, kamu yang antar dia ke pelaminan ya, Mas?”
Dedi: “Lho, kamu sendiri gimana?”
Anita: “Aku mungkin udah di tempat lain. Tapi kamu janji ya, jangan menangis. Tersenyumlah untuk kita berdua.”
Kini, anak yang dulu digendong Anita telah berdiri di pelaminan. Anggun. Cantik seperti ibunya.
“Pak…” Suara Nayla menyentaknya. “Terima kasih, Pak. Aku tahu… Ibu pasti lihat dari atas sana.”
Dedi: “Kamu bahagia hari ini?”
Nayla: “Iya, Pak… Tapi aku pengin Ibu juga lihat.”
Dedi: “Ibu lihat, Nak. Ibu nggak pernah benar-benar pergi.”
Bagian 2: Doa yang Tertinggal di Langit
Malam setelah pesta. Rumah sunyi. Dedi duduk di tepi ranjang, membuka kotak kayu berisi surat-surat lama dari Anita.
Surat dari Anita:
“Mas Dedi, kalau kamu baca surat ini… mungkin aku sudah nggak ada di sampingmu. Tapi kamu harus tahu, aku nggak pernah takut mati. Aku cuma takut nggak bisa dampingi Nayla saat dia besar. Tapi aku percaya, kamu akan bisa jadi ayah sekaligus ibu buat dia. Doa-doaku ada di langit. Kamu tinggal panggil, dan akan selalu sampai.”
Tangis Dedi pecah malam itu. Tapi bukan tangis lemah. Itu tangis cinta. Tangis lepas setelah tahu, ia tak pernah benar-benar sendiri.
Ia buka jendela, menatap langit.
Dedi: “Bu… tugasku selesai. Anak kita bahagia.”
Bagian 3: Hari-Hari Tanpamu Tapi Bersamamu
Setahun berlalu. Rumah makin sunyi. Tapi Dedi tidak hidup dalam kesepian. Ia mulai menyiram bunga lagi. Membaca ulang buku-buku lama. Dan setiap sore duduk di kursi rotan di beranda, tempat dulu ia dan Anita sering mengobrol saat Nayla kecil.
