IPAL Biogas bekerja dengan sistem tertutup, di mana limbah peternakan diurai oleh bakteri anaerob menjadi gas metana. Gas ini dapat digunakan untuk memasak atau pembangkit sederhana, sementara residunya dapat menjadi pupuk kompos.
Kepala Desa Cisantana, Ono Suratno, menyebut pembangunan ini sebagai langkah “luar biasa” dari wakil rakyat yang tidak hanya bicara di pusat, tetapi terjun langsung ke lapangan. “Limbah kohe dari Palutungan ini memang sudah lama jadi masalah. Apalagi letak geografis kami di atas Desa Pajambon, yang sering kali kena imbas air limbah saat musim hujan,” ujarnya.
Di lokasi peletakan batu pertama turut hadir perwakilan Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup, Sigit; Komisaris PT Puspita Cipta Group, Hj Dian Marina Puspita; Camat Cigugur Yono Rohmansah; Kepala Desa Pajambon Nani Ariningsih; dan perwakilan organisasi lingkungan Sundawani Kuningan.
Bukan hanya soal pengelolaan limbah, pembangunan IPAL ini juga menyentuh agenda besar energi bersih dan ekonomi sirkular. Rokhmat Ardiyan menyatakan komitmennya untuk memperluas model pengelolaan ini ke desa-desa lain di Kuningan. “Kami ingin menjadikan masalah menjadi peluang. Limbah yang dulu mencemari, sekarang bisa jadi sumber energi dan pupuk bagi petani,” kata dia.
Dalam iklim politik yang kerap diwarnai pencitraan, pendekatan Rokhmat Ardiyan yang menyebut langsung nama Presiden dalam proyek ini menunjukkan sinyal kuat bahwa isu lingkungan dan energi bersih mulai masuk ke radar kebijakan tingkat nasional. (ali)
