Peperangan diselimuti kisah mistis: dari pasukan merang ciptaan Syekh Datul Kahfi, hingga wujud raksasa Ki Geden Bondan yang akhirnya kalah. Menjelang menghilang, Ki Geden Bondan konon berpesan: “Lanjutkan cita-citamu.”
Setelah kemenangan itu, Syekh Datul Kahfi bersama para pengikutnya bersepakat membangun tempat ibadah. Pada tahun 1414 Masehi, berdirilah masjid tak jauh dari Sungai Cimanuk, tepat di lokasi cangkop peninggalan Ki Geden Bondan.
Konon, pembangunan masjid itu selesai hanya dalam satu malam. Bedug kayu Sidaguri yang dibuat Syekh Datul Kahfi mampu berbunyi hingga terdengar ke Cirebon. Sayangnya, bedug tersebut kini telah hilang.
Hingga kini, Masjid Darus Sajidin Bondan masih berdiri dan difungsikan sebagai tempat ibadah. Ia menjadi warisan sejarah, bukan hanya bagi masyarakat Bondan, tetapi juga bagi perjalanan Islam di pesisir utara Jawa.
Lebih dari sekadar tempat sholat, Masjid Kuno Bondan adalah penanda peralihan budaya dan keyakinan. Ia menyimpan cerita tentang cinta, konflik, dan dakwah, kisah yang mengajarkan bahwa pertemuan antara tradisi lama dan keyakinan baru bisa melahirkan sejarah besar yang terus dikenang hingga kini.
