KUNINGAN – Suasana rapat pleno rekapitulasi penghitungan suara Pemilihan Gubernur Jawa Barat dan Bupati Kuningan 2024 diwarnai ketegangan. Rapat yang digelar di Aula KPU Kuningan sejak Rabu pagi (4/12), sempat memanas akibat permintaan pembukaan amplop surat suara tidak sah yang jumlahnya ditaksir mencapai 30 ribu lebih.
Saksi dari Paslon 02 dan 03 secara tegas mendesak KPU membuka surat suara tak sah, mencurigai adanya kejanggalan dalam proses pemungutan. Namun, permintaan itu tidak dikabulkan, karena menurut KPU tidak ada aturan yang memperbolehkan membuka kembali surat suara yang sudah dinyatakan tidak sah.

Hingga pukul 15.00 WIB, rekap suara dari 32 kecamatan belum dimulai karena perdebatan tersebut. Ketua KPU Kuningan, Asep Budi Hartono (Abuhar), menegaskan bahwa tahapan rekapitulasi mengacu pada PKPU Nomor 18 Tahun 2024, dan tidak ada nomenklatur membuka surat suara tak sah dalam aturan yang berlaku.
“Kalau tidak puas, silakan tempuh jalur hukum ke Mahkamah Konstitusi,” ujar Abuhar.
