Salah satu residivis yang kembali ditangkap adalah AR (54), warga Cilimus, yang sebelumnya juga pernah terjerat kasus narkoba jenis sabu. Selain residivis, polisi juga mengamankan pelaku dari kalangan mahasiswa, buruh harian lepas, hingga wiraswasta.
AKP Jojo menyatakan keprihatinan mendalam atas temuan tersebut. “Kami prihatin karena beberapa pelaku masih berstatus pelajar dan mahasiswa. Ini menunjukkan penyalahgunaan narkoba sudah mulai menyentuh kalangan muda. Maka kami terus memperkuat langkah pencegahan melalui edukasi dan sosialisasi di sekolah maupun kampus,” kata Kasat Narkoba.
Para tersangka dijerat dengan sanksi hukum berat. Mereka dikenakan Undang-Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika, serta Undang-Undang Nomor 17 Tahun 2023 tentang Kesehatan. Hukuman yang menanti bervariasi, mulai dari empat tahun hingga dua belas tahun penjara, tergantung pada jenis pelanggaran dan jumlah barang bukti yang dimiliki.
Kasat Narkoba menegaskan, pihaknya tidak akan memberikan ruang sedikit pun bagi para pelaku narkoba di Kuningan. “Kami berkomitmen untuk terus menekan peredaran gelap narkoba. Tidak ada kompromi bagi pengedar maupun penyalahguna,” tegasnya.
Selain penegakan hukum yang keras, Satresnarkoba Polres Kuningan juga akan memperluas program pencegahan melalui kolaborasi lintas sektor, termasuk dengan Dinas Kesehatan, lembaga pendidikan, dan organisasi kepemudaan. “Perang melawan narkoba tidak bisa hanya mengandalkan polisi. Butuh keterlibatan seluruh elemen masyarakat,” tutup AKP Jojo.
Dengan rentetan pengungkapan ini, Polres Kuningan kembali menegaskan posisinya di garis depan dalam perang melawan narkoba. Namun, ancaman terbesar tetaplah lemahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap bahaya narkotika yang terus mengintai generasi muda. (ali)
