KUNINGAN – Sebanyak 619 siswa Sekolah Dasar dari 30 kecamatan di Kabupaten Kuningan mengikuti ajang Perlombaan Olahraga Tradisional Tingkat Kabupaten yang digelar di Open Space Gallery, Desa Linggasana, Kecamatan Cilimus. Ajang ini sekaligus menjadi seleksi menuju tingkat Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Perlombaan menghadirkan lima cabang olahraga khas daerah: Dagongan, Sumpitan, Egrang, Terompah Panjang, dan Hadangan. Masing-masing peserta merupakan perwakilan hasil seleksi dari tingkat kecamatan.
“Perlombaan ini bagian dari seleksi menuju lomba tradisional tingkat Jabar yang akan digelar Agustus nanti di Purwakarta,” kata Kadisporapar Kuningan, Carlan atau akrab disapa Elon.
Dua kecamatan yakni Pasawahan dan Nusaherang tercatat tidak mengirimkan wakil dalam ajang ini.

Elon juga menyebut, perlombaan olahraga tradisional akan kembali digelar dalam Darma Sagara Fest 2024 sebagai bagian dari Calendar of Event Kabupaten Kuningan.
