Ia pun menekankan, marwah kepala daerah justru terjaga dengan adanya dana operasional. Sebab, kepala daerah bisa hadir sebagai solusi langsung di tengah masyarakat, bukan sekadar simbol seremonial.
“Bayangkan kalau pak gubernur datang ke lokasi bencana tapi tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa. Dengan BPO, beliau bisa langsung membantu. Jadi jelas, uang ini kembali ke rakyat,” pungkas Herman. (Beng).
