KUNINGAN – Jalan Provinsi yang menghubungkan antara Kecamatan Lebakwangi menuju Kecamatan Luragung tampak berbeda dari hari biasanya. Terpasang kokoh di badan jalan Penerangan Jalan Umum (PJU) berhias batik..
Tidak hanya itu, di bawah batik megamendung terdapat simbol kujang yang menandakan senjata tradisional andalan Jawa Barat salah satunya sebagai simbol kesuburan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
PJU kini menjadi angin segar bagi masyarakat yang selama ini masih mengeluhkan jalan yang gelap tanpa penerangan. Kini, ruas jalan utama PJU yang sedang dalam proses pembangunan sudah tidak dikhawatirkan lagi oleh para pengendara yang sering melintas ketika di malam hari.
Hal itu diungkapkan, Yeni Lusiana, salah satu pengendara yang sering melintas di jalan tersebut. Menurutnya, sebelum adanya PJU yang mulai terpasang itu, ia mengeluhkan kondisi yang begitu gelap tanpa penerangan.
”Saya sering melintas kalau di malam hari, memang gelap. Khawatir kan gelap atau jalan berlubang juga. Tapi Alhamdulillah sekarang jalan juga mulai diperbaiki dan mulus, ditambah dengan adanya penerangan,” ujarnya, Senin, (13/10).
Ia juga berharap pemasangan PJU tidak hanya berhenti di ruas jalan provinsi saja, tetapi juga dapat menjangkau jalan-jalan Kabupaten yang hingga kini masih belum terpasang PJU.
”Mudah-mudahan bisa merambat ke ruas jalan Kabupaten, soalnya banyak jalur desa yang masih gelap,” harapnya.
Berdasarkan pantauan Cikalpedia.id., pemasangan PJU masih berlangsung. Beberapa tiang sudah terpasang dengan tegak, ditambah dengan adanya ornamen khas Jawa Barat yang semakin menambah nilai estetika di sepanjang jalan tersebut.
Dengan terpasangnya PJU di ruas jalan Lebakwangi – Luragung dan sekitarnya membangun optimisme masyarakat dalam hal keamanan berkendara. Bahkan hal itu menumbuhkan kepercayaan publik pemerintah hadir melalui program tersebut. (Icu)
