KUNINGAN – Seleksi Pekan Olahraga Pelajar Daerah (POPDA) Kabupaten Kuningan 2025 melahirkan dua nama muda yang menonjol. Muhammad Gatfan Zakiya dan Yasfa’u Lan Yuwafi tampil sebagai perenang terbaik putra dan putri, sekaligus menjadi simbol regenerasi atlet renang di Kuningan.
Gatfan atau akrab dengan panggilan Zaki, kelahiran 2009, mencatat 50 poin dan menguasai klasemen putra. Ia unggul tipis dari Zaidan Pradipa Rudiana Putra (2012) dan Ryevan Febriansyah (2009) yang sama-sama meraih 44 poin. Di bawahnya, Rangga Dwi Pratama (2011) menempati peringkat keempat dengan 35 poin, disusul Marvin Athar Rafif (2009) dengan 31 poin.
Di kategori putri, Yasfa’u Lan Yuwafi yang lahir pada 2010, menjadi pengumpul poin terbanyak dengan 33 poin. Ia mengungguli Widyaiswara Anindya (2011) dengan 30 poin. Posisi ketiga ditempati Amara Anugrah Agustina (2009) dengan 22 poin, sementara Myesha Aqeela Rafanda (2014) dan Hany Ayla Kirana (2013) melengkapi daftar lima besar dengan masing-masing 20 poin dan 19 poin.
Seleksi yang digelar di Kolam Renang Sanggariang pada Senin (25/8/2025) kemarin ini berlangsung ketat. Para perenang muda saling beradu di berbagai gaya, mulai dari gaya bebas, dada, punggung, hingga kupu-kupu, dengan hasil akhir ditentukan lewat akumulasi poin.
