KUNINGAN – Menjelang Pemilihan Kepala Daerah 2024, DPC Partai Gerindra Kabupaten Kuningan diterpa dinamika internal. Ketua DPC Gerindra, H. Dede Ismail, resmi mengundurkan diri setelah 15 tahun memimpin partai besutan Prabowo Subianto itu.
Surat pengunduran diri Deis—sapaan akrab Dede Ismail—tertanggal 14 September 2024, ditujukan langsung kepada Ketua Umum DPP Partai Gerindra di Jakarta. Dalam surat yang kini beredar luas, Deis menyatakan pengunduran dirinya sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab moral atas kekalahan pasangan Prabowo–Gibran di Kabupaten Kuningan pada Pilpres lalu.
“Keputusan ini saya buat sebagai pendidikan politik, agar tidak ada kata gagal dalam perjuangan,” tulis Deis dalam surat yang ditandatangani bermaterai.
Deis juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Prabowo Subianto atas kepercayaan yang telah diberikan selama memimpin DPC Gerindra Kuningan sejak 2008. Surat tersebut juga ditembuskan ke jajaran DPP dan DPD Partai Gerindra Jawa Barat.
