KUNINGAN – Kabupaten Kuningan menjadi tuan rumah Jambore Pertanian Jawa Barat 2025, sebuah ajang strategis yang mempertemukan petani, penyuluh, akademisi, dan pemangku kebijakan dari seluruh penjuru provinsi. Gelaran ini menjadi bukti nyata keseriusan pemerintah daerah dalam mendorong pertanian sebagai garda terdepan ketahanan pangan nasional.
Acara dihadiri oleh sejumlah pejabat tinggi negara, termasuk Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pangan, Zulkifli Hasan, Kepala Badan Pangan Nasional, perwakilan Kementerian Pertanian, anggota DPR RI, DPRD Jawa Barat dan DPRD Kabupaten Kuningan, para kepala daerah se-Jawa Barat, Kepala Dinas Pertanian se-Jabar dan para penyuluh serta pemangku kepentingan sektor pertanian dari berbagai kabupaten/kota se-Jawa Barat, bertempat di Kebun Raya Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Selasa (29/4/2025).
Bupati Kuningan Dr. H. Dian Rachmat Yanuar, M.Si., dalam sambutannya menyampaikan apresiasi mendalam kepada seluruh pihak yang mendukung terselenggaranya Jambore. Ia menekankan pentingnya pertanian dalam kehidupan bangsa.
“Pertanian bukan sekadar aktivitas ekonomi, melainkan nafas kehidupan. Setiap butir padi dan tetes keringat di ladang adalah bagian dari perjuangan menjaga ketahanan pangan bangsa,” tegas Dian
Kuningan sendiri mencatat prestasi menggembirakan di sektor pertanian. Tahun 2024, produksi gabah kering giling mencapai 352.511 ton dengan surplus beras sebanyak 93.070 ton. Kabupaten ini juga dikenal sebagai sentra hortikultura dan terus mengembangkan sektor peternakan, termasuk sapi perah, sapi pasundan, kambing, dan unggas.
