Cikalpedia.id – Di salah satu SMA di Kabupaten Kuningan, para siswa kelas 1 SMA sedang bersiap mengikuti kegiatan kemah Pramuka yang menjadi agenda wajib bagi mereka. Sebagai orang tua, saya sangat mendukung kegiatan ini.
Kemah bukan sekadar ajang rekreasi, melainkan sarana pendidikan karakter yang mengajarkan kemandirian, kebersamaan, serta ketahanan mental bagi anak-anak kita.
Namun, ada satu hal kecil yang patut menjadi bahan renungan bersama. Anak saya, yang kini duduk di kelas 1 SMA, begitu sibuk menyiapkan perlengkapan kemah, termasuk membeli snack yang diwajibkan panitia dengan merek tertentu.
Sekilas memang tidak ada masalah. Tapi, di balik kewajiban itu, ada ruang kritik yang ingin saya sampaikan.
Mengapa tidak diarahkan saja agar snack yang dibawa berasal dari produk UMKM lokal? Kita tahu, Kuningan kaya dengan jajanan khas seperti gemblong, tape, opak, dan aneka panganan tradisional lainnya.
Selain memiliki nilai gizi dan cita rasa yang khas, produk UMKM tersebut merupakan hasil karya warga lokal yang tengah berjuang menghidupi usahanya.
Jika sekolah dan dunia pendidikan mengarahkan konsumsi siswa ke produk lokal, dampaknya tentu luar biasa. Bukan hanya anak-anak yang belajar kemandirian melalui kemah, tetapi juga sekolah telah memberikan teladan nyata dalam mendukung ekonomi kerakyatan.
