KUNINGAN – Kabupaten Kuningan masuk daftar daerah termiskin kedua di Jawa Barat. Kondisi ini membuat Badan Percepatan Pengentasan Kemiskinan Republik Indonesia (BP Taskin RI) menetapkan Kuningan sebagai lokasi peluncuran pilot program linieritas pengentasan kemiskinan, yang diresmikan langsung oleh Ketua BP Taskin RI, Budiman Sujatmiko, belum lama ini.
Peluncuran program strategis ini merupakan tindak lanjut audiensi sebelumnya antara Bupati Kuningan dan BP Taskin RI. Kegiatan digelar di Desa/Kecamatan Cimahi, salah satu wilayah dengan tingkat kemiskinan cukup tinggi.
“Kuningan ini agraris, tapi potensinya bisa naik kelas menjadi industri pertanian berbasis kerakyatan,” ujar Budiman saat berdialog dengan masyarakat.
Dalam kunjungan tersebut, Budiman melihat langsung kondisi rumah tak layak huni, anak-anak sekolah dasar di SD Mekarjaya, hingga pameran UMKM. Ia juga menekankan pentingnya pendekatan multipotensi, mulai dari pertanian, pendidikan, kesehatan, hingga sektor UMKM.
“Kemiskinan tidak cukup ditangani lewat sektor pertanian saja,” ujarnya. “Kita dorong semua sektor: pendidikan, teknologi, UMKM, dan layanan dasar.”
Salah satu inovasi BP Taskin yang diperkenalkan adalah drone pertanian. Teknologi ini diklaim mampu membantu petani menyemprot pupuk dan insektisida dengan lebih efisien dan hemat biaya.
