KUNINGAN — Malam pergantian tahun baru menjadi momen penuh makna bagi Penjabat Bupati Kuningan Raden Iip Hidajat dan Sekretaris Daerah Dian Rachmat Yanuar. Alih-alih merayakan dengan pesta kembang api, keduanya justru memilih mendaki Gunung Ciremai melalui jalur Cadas Poleng, Ipukan Cisantana, pada Minggu malam (31/12) pukul 19.30 WIB.
Langkah ini bukan semata bentuk kecintaan terhadap alam, melainkan juga simbol dari semangat baru yang ingin mereka bawa dalam menatap tahun 2024.
“Gunung Ciremai adalah anugerah luar biasa bagi Kabupaten Kuningan. Pendakian ini adalah bentuk syukur dan juga seruan moral bahwa pembangunan daerah harus selaras dengan kelestarian lingkungan,” ujar Pj Bupati Iip Hidajat.
Ia menambahkan, pendakian ke gunung tertinggi di Jawa Barat itu bukan sekadar kegiatan fisik, melainkan juga perwujudan sinergi kolektif antara pemimpin daerah dan masyarakat untuk mencintai dan menjaga bumi pertiwi.
Sekda Dian Rachmat Yanuar yang dikenal gemar berolahraga, menyebut momentum ini memberi pengalaman spiritual dan ekologis yang luar biasa. Ia menekankan pentingnya menjaga alam di tengah ancaman pemanasan global yang makin nyata.
“Kita harus membangun kesadaran kolektif untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Alam bukan hanya tempat untuk dinikmati, tapi juga harus dilestarikan. Selamat Tahun Baru 2024, semoga Kuningan semakin maju dan sejahtera lahir batin,” kata Dian.
