KUNINGAN – Tekad DPR RI untuk mempercepat pembahasan Rancangan Undang-Undang (RUU) Perampasan Aset kembali ditegaskan. Wakil Ketua Komisi II DPR, Saan Mustopa, menyebut aturan ini mendesak untuk diberlakukan karena menjadi instrumen vital negara dalam mengembalikan aset hasil tindak pidana, terutama korupsi.
RUU ini sangat penting bagi pemberantasan tindak pidana. Negara harus hadir dengan perangkat hukum yang jelas agar aset yang dirampas bisa kembali untuk kepentingan rakyat. Selain RUU Perampasan Aset, DPR juga sedang membahas RUU Perlindungan Pekerja Rumah Tangga (PPRT) serta RUU Masyarakat Adat. Namun, Saan mengakui, fokus utama parlemen saat ini memang diarahkan pada penyelesaian RUU Perampasan Aset.
Komitmen DPR itu langsung disambut kalangan mahasiswa. Ketua BEM Fakultas Pendidikan Sosial dan Teknologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Kuningan, Izzatun Nawawi, menyatakan dukungan, tapi sekaligus memberi peringatan.
“Kami mengapresiasi langkah DPR RI, tetapi pengesahan RUU ini harus benar-benar mengedepankan kepentingan rakyat. Jangan hanya menjadi formalitas tanpa implementasi yang jelas, atau malah membuka celah praktik korupsi baru,” katanya.
