BANDUNG – Laju Pertumbuhan Ekonomi (LPE) Jawa Barat saat ini tercatat berada di atas rata-rata nasional, dengan angka 5,23 persen, sedangkan LPE nasional sebesar 5,12 persen. Hal tersebut diungkapkan oleh Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Provinsi Jawa Barat, Herman Suryatman, dalam rapat Tim Anggaran Pemerintah Daerah (TAPD) di Gedung Sate Bandung, Kamis (18/9/2025).
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Herman mengingatkan agar masyarakat dan pemerintah tidak terlalu cepat merasa puas dengan pencapaian tersebut. Ia menegaskan, meskipun angka LPE Jawa Barat lebih tinggi daripada nasional, penting untuk menjaga momentum agar pertumbuhan ini dapat berkelanjutan.
“Jangan menghela nafas terlalu panjang, kita sedang bertumbuh. Jika kita lengah, kita bisa kehilangan momentum,” ujar Herman Suryatman.
Salah satu sektor yang disebut Herman memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi adalah sektor perumahan. Ia menjelaskan, sektor ini tidak hanya berperan dalam menyediakan hunian bagi masyarakat, tetapi juga memiliki efek domino pada sektor-sektor lainnya, seperti bahan bangunan dan lapangan kerja.
“Perumahan itu sangat penting. Satu rumah yang diperbaiki atau dibangun bisa menyerap 3 sampai 5 orang tenaga kerja. Selain itu, sektor bahan bangunan seperti semen, pasir, dan kayu juga akan bergerak, menggerakkan perekonomian. Toko bahan bangunan dan sektor produksi lainnya pun akan ikut berkembang,” terang Herman.
Lebih lanjut, Herman mengungkapkan bahwa dengan serius mengelola sektor perumahan, Jawa Barat berpotensi besar untuk mendongkrak perekonomian. Jika sektor ini berkembang, kesejahteraan masyarakat dapat tercapai, karena banyak sektor terkait yang akan ikut terangkat.
