BANDUNG – Gubernur Jawa Barat Dedi Mulyadi menegaskan tidak akan lagi menangani persoalan sampah di Pasar Induk Caringin, Kota Bandung. Hal ini disampaikan usai beredarnya video keluhan masyarakat terkait tumpukan sampah di pasar tersebut.
“Saya tak akan lagi menangani pasar tersebut karena saya sudah memberikan arahan sejak awal. Saya juga sudah mengambil tindakan, dan selanjutnya harus diurus sendiri karena pemerintah tidak memiliki relevansi terhadap pengelolaan Pasar Caringin,” ujar Dedi Mulyadi, Senin (15/9/2025).
Menurut Dedi, Pasar Caringin merupakan pasar swasta sehingga tanggung jawab pengelolaan sampah ada sepenuhnya di tangan pengelola pasar. Ia mengaku sebelumnya pernah turun langsung untuk membersihkan sampah dan memberikan arahan, namun masalah kembali muncul.
“Mengenai keluhan tumpukan sampah, dulu saya pernah datang ke Pasar Caringin. Caringin adalah pasar yang dikelola oleh swasta, kemudian iuran atau pembayaran sampahnya dipungut oleh pengelola pasar. Waktu itu setelah sampah dibersihkan, sudah saya sampaikan agar dikelola secara mandiri,” jelasnya.
